Meet us in the rose garden at the summer solstice...
An invitation to gather with us to tend to your creative heart as we reach the lightest and brightest point of the year...
Hello, we are and - the creators of Holding Stories. Here you can expect to receive offerings that focus on community, creativity, ceremony & storytelling, shared through the lens of intentional PR, soulful branding & sacred space. We believe in soft, sustainable strategy that is lovingly guided by the seasons & rhythms of our inner & outer worlds. Please subscribe to walk this path with us.
As we move towards the midpoint and the lightest, brightest point of the year here in the northern hemisphere, we are cultivating a rose-infused haven for your creative soul to pause, reflect and set intentions for the months ahead…
June is the time to celebrate life and community and the culmination of the growth that has taken place underground during the colder, darker months. It is a time to witness the seeds that were dreamt up in the depths of winter, sowed and nurtured throughout the spring, and are now beginning to bloom.
June’s key moments…
The Gemini new moon on 6th June provides us with an invitation to consider our communication. How can we communicate fully with ourselves AND with our communities? Are we being clear in our communication? Is there something we are NOT communicating?
The sun reaches its zenith on 20th June — the summer solstice — when the sun appears to stand still in the sky and gives us the longest hours of daylight and thus the shortest night here in the northern hemisphere. Named Litha, meaning ‘light’ in the Celtic Wheel of the Year, it has long been known as a time of wild and free midsummer magic — mirroring the peak of our expansiveness, it is a celebration to honour all that we are.
This is also a time for boldness in our expression and for allowing ourselves a little more creative freedom.
What is the light illuminating within us?
What bold steps can we take in our creativity?
What needs to be liberated within our projects and passions?
As the moon reaches her fullest on 22nd June, in the driven and ambitious astrological sign of Capricorn, we are offered a portal of self-discovery and clarity of action, helping us to take the bold steps needed, with fire in our bellies. This full moon is also known as the Rose Moon, the Strawberry Moon and the Dyad Moon — the moon and sun are equally apparent, inseparable, a pair.
What self doubts are you ready to shake off in order to pursue your ambitions?
What visions are you feeling driven to step towards?
When do you feel your fullest self?
The essence of June is… the halfway point, and it is time… time to make it happen…
If not now… when?
You are invited to join us in the (virtual) rose garden…
After the boundless joy of our in-person event held in London in April — the vibrational ripples are still very felt in our entire beings — we are very excited to be bringing to life the first online Holding Stories gathering to mark the summer solstice.
We are aware that if you are reading this whilst residing in the southern hemisphere you will be moving towards the winter solstice and its wholly contrasting energy. Despite this, we invite you to join us, if the time difference allows, as we feel that you will gain something to take with you into the lighter part of the year, even if it is solely to make the time for yourself and to commune with others also on their creative path…
Gather with us on Saturday the 22nd June, 11am (UK time) to soak in the magic of the solstice AND the full moon in Capricorn, as we lean into the medicine of the rose and her sweet whisperings to us…
We will take 90 minutes together in virtual circle, providing you with a rich and nourishing, spacious experience to tend to your creative heart.
Where? In your own personal sanctuary via the wonder of Zoom
When: 22nd June, 11am - 12.30pm BST.
What to expect:
We will begin our time by arriving together, weaving gentle yet powerful movement and a replenishing meditation, filled with the light of the season.
There will be an opportunity to reflect upon your creative projects and the stories that have blossomed and flowered so far this year, using journaling prompts and seasonal contemplations.
We will hold the stories that are illuminated by the light and those that are perhaps yet to be told, carefully considering how they wish to be expressed as we begin the spiral into the next phase of the year.
As we come to a close there will be opportunity to share our voices within our circle, pull oracle cards to support our onward journeys, and speak visions into reality within a trusted, sacred space.
Ritual and ceremony will be woven into our time together.
A recording will be provided for those who cannot make it live, however we urge you to join us to harness the energy of the merging of souls and stories in real time if you can.
The investment for our gathering is £10 - £15. If you are able to afford the full amount we greatly appreciate it, however if this feels too much of a stretch you are welcome to use the discount code ROSEGARDEN to give you £5 off.
We would be honoured if you choose to join us for the first online gathering within the Holding Stories offerings. Please do book your space below and don’t hesitate to contact either of us if you have questions.
“So much thought, attention and care went into every aspect of the event. I instantly felt welcomed and at ease upon arrival and felt I was in safe hands. I left feeling with a new sense of direction for myself, my writing and my business.”
, who writes and gathered with us in person in April.Preparing your space
Before we gather together we invite you to create your own summer solstice altar — you can prepare this in the days leading up to the event and use it as a visual anchor to attune to the current season.
We have included some suggestions below, but it is most important that you bring into your space what is easily available to you and what you feel called sit with…
Candles to represent the peak of the sun
Fragrant summer flowers such as roses, poppies and lavender to ground us in the vibrancy of the season (and reminiscent of old midsummer traditions of decorating doorways and windows with flowers)
A small bowl of water with floating petals from your chosen summer flowers
A bowl of strawberries to honour the moon
Crystals that you may have and feel called to have close by
Essential oil diffuser to burn oils if you have one, or open the windows to feel the fresh air.
We can’t wait to gather with you.
With love, and excitement!
Lauren & Lyndsay
This sounds absolutely magical! I love how you're weaving this sumptuous space for women. Let me check the time zone difference to see if I can attend from across the pond!
This is so lovely, especially aligning with Litha and the start of Cancer season! I wanted to drop a quick note that there’s a typo in the details — “22nd July” instead of June 🌱🧡 I’ll delete this comment but didn’t know a better way to reach out! :)
